The Master Cleanse Vs Just Lemon Juice Detox

I couldn’t agree more with Leanne (blog.healthy.co.nz/what-is-healthy-weight-loss/). the popular lemon detox or better known as the Master Cleanse diet may make you lose some weight, but starving your body of valuable vital proteins essential for normal cell functions is more detrimental.  I practice the lemon detox which consists of only drinking lemon juice with warm water to kick start my liver in the morning. I continue to eat normal the whole day. I do not go on any starvation. the lemon juice is part of my daily diet in the morning.  So far it has been effective to keep the flu away and keep my weight in check.

Lemons have been used for centuries holistically. however, it was not until this present day with the detox revolution that they have been so popular. They have been very under-rated for their actual capabilities of bettering overall human health. the basics of lemon detox, make it even more beneficial because they are simplifies tactics and methods of detoxing with lemons inexpensively. you can start a simple detox with these essentials:

  • Organic or fresh lemons without pesticides and chemicals
  • Purified warm or room temperature water
  • A glass
  • A juicer or your hands
  • A knife

You start with cutting the lemons with a knife into if you have a juicer and extracting the juice with or without pulp- every part of the lemon is useful to your body in some aspect. So the more lemon you use the better off you are. in the lemon detox diets they commonly start with one day of detox and then you gradually work your way into a lifestyle where you drink lemonade all the time. after you have extracted the juice you can mix a few tablespoons, or cup depending on taste into a glass of warm water.
