Product Description

Women long for the kind of beauty and health that can only come with clean cells. Yet many women find detox plans difficult to follow and are disappointed with the results. In her ten years of working privately with celebrity clients at leading Manhattan spas, Natalia Rose has discovered that traditional detox plans don't work for adult women because their microbial balance is completely out of whack. In fact, doing the wrong kind of detox can make their symptoms even worse!

Here is the solution. Rose has formulated a very specific detox prescription for women that is easy to follow and gentle on the system, yet yields fantastic results that are both immediate and lasting. In Detox for Women, she brings you her powerful step-by-step plan that will help you shed weight, look years younger, and radiate energy in only 28 days.

Like Rose's celebrity clients, you will love this plan! Rose steers readers away from traditional detox fare like fruit and nuts and cautions against eating too much raw food too soon. And while many detox programs do not allow you to eat at all, during the next 28 days you will enjoy

  • Cooked foods that are easy to digest
  • Treats like dark chocolate and wine
  • Recipes that hark back to favorite foods like pumpkin pie and guacamole
  • Sunshine for Breakfast! Rose's own elixir for health and beauty
  • Great restaurants—this plan can even be tailored for eating out!

You will also luxuriate in relaxing baths, get plenty of fresh air, and enjoy meals that are simple to prepare, beautiful to look at, and delicious to eat. Like Rose's clients, you will probably also find that this way of living is so easy and rewarding that you will even want to make permanent changes after the 28 days are over.

With inspiring stories from real women, Natalia Rose doesn't just give you a detox prescription but also real hope for the kind of transformation you have always wanted.

  1. This book seemed to make sense when I read it. She makes several great points. I was excited about starting her program. Then I ate (or tried to)some of her recipes. Her morning drinks were completely undrinkable. I managed to choke down some salads, but after 3 days couldn’t face another one. I am not a picky eater and usually very easy to please but it got to the point that I would not eat at all rather than eat one of the recipes from this book. There are many other detox plans (and great tasting juices) that are way more manageable than this.

  5. I’m giving this book three stars b/c I really want to believe that it will help me. I haven’t started the program yet, but I read it cover to cover and I have some issues.

First, as another reviewer said, there is no sound medical information provided in this book. It merely appeals to the emotions of desperate people (I am one of these people!). There is not a single reference to another source (RD or MD). She makes some amazing claims that are contradictory to current medical knowledge (e.g., don’t eat breakfast, eat two meals a day, whole grains are just as bad as refined flour). I think it is very arrogant of her to write about medical and psychological problems without any experience in these fields. Example: Her discussion of eating disorders is all wrong. She has clearly never picked up a REAL book about eating disorders otherwise she would know that eating disorders are not about food. You can’t “cure” an eating disorder with detox; you make it worse. This is why other detox books have disclaimers stating that if you have a history of eating disorders that you not partake in detox.

Second, this book was clearly not written with money struggling people in mind. She talks about detox from a position of privilege. The plan requires the purchase of a juicer (at least 150$) or access to an organic juice bar. Colonics are recommended for best results. A rebounder would be ideal for exercise. This information would be more helpful if she provided other options for these expensive aspects of the program.

Lastly, this is not a detox diet. It is a lifelong diet. The initial 28 days ARE detox, but you are expected to remain on this diet for life. Yea right. I’m not eating salads for my two allowed meals of the day for the rest of my life. I also don’t believe that this detox diet is applicable to dining out. “Yes waiter, I’ll have the Greek salad with an avocado and a lemon on the side. Let me get my Stevia out of my purse.” Could you imagine?! And going to visit family on holidays? Would you bring your own meal? Do you expect them to cook this stuff for you? That’s just rude and selfish.

The book isn’t all bad. It was very engaging and easy to read (I read the whole thing in a few hours). I think that for a detox diet, it won’t be all that bad. I can manage the blandness for 28 days if it means that I will feel better, and that’s a risk I am still, after all this complaining, willing to take.
