   @theclockworks2 I get it. I yelled at my then drug dealer once who told me to taper off heroin. When I tried that, it put me right back into DOPE SICk. I just had to kick one final time. But I did it medically. Over 5 1/2 years clean. I wish you courage to do it one more time and you would never have to do it again. Get meds if you need to, they have non-narcotic meds for people.Have seen work, like Seroquel. I am not a doctor, I am saying I have seen it work for lots of people. Keep me posted

   @kentucy9999 I was also doing Benzo’s and the staff said if I were doing muscle relaxers also, that is by far the worse detox of all of them, Heroin, Benzo’s and muscle relaxers. I was also drinking wine and vodka. Kind of a pig, you know. I also was doing meth and coke.

   We had a guy in detox once who was using 15-20 Xanax per day and drinking at least a fifth of Scotch………or more. His detox made any other I’ve ever seen look like a day at the beach. This guy was one of the toughest human beings I’ve ever met. We had him on the unit for something like 15 days but it simply didn’t work even though I’ve never seen anyone try harder. I don’t believe he slept at all. Benzodiazampam detox is the WORST. {He was a serious alcoholic too. 50 X’s worse than opiates.

   thanx for your concern i just took the poem off because i thought it wasnt any good and i was always like that about everything i do. Im alot better now. the poem was just about when i used to run out of my prescription at the end of every month. and i tried going cold turkey a number of times but after awhile it just scared the shit out of me. the answer for me was tapering it down. which is hard because im sore all the time. but it worked

   @Sablefiber I live in Los Angeles, but have been tracing my family history. I had a relative leave from Rotterdam in 1752 to go to Philadelphia. Actually saw the shipping records. California is now deciding in november to just legalize pot. We are sure it will pass the the Federal Government says no,. We will see. But I don’t do any drugs at all, I just saw ‘Holland’ and realized that would be the only other place in the world it will be legal. there is already little pot stores.

   @MeUnknownUser I haven’t heard back from you. What has happened to you? Have you detoxed? Are you sick? I believe the 6th day of detox is the worse. Do you have medical detox in Romania? Don’t give up. Please respond, I want to know what happened to you. Can you get medical help? An Opiate adddict can get and stay clean. I have said this many times here, I really didn’t feel really good and strong against the desire to use it until I was at 22 months clean. Write me, I want to know

I got kicked out of high school for doing dope (weed) and then another incident they threw me out permanently. I went and took the GED. I was homeless after school tossed me (and during school, too, that was hard to do) and I spent the night across the street from the school giving the test in some bushes so I wouldn’t be late. I feel your misery, have been there, it sounds to me like you need help detoxing. please keep me posted theclockworks — you sound desperate.

    buddy, next if this happends again you need a game plan. my suggestion is if all possible get some xanx and take only like 1mg twice a day and you will be so much happierin your recovery process take care =)

    @spankMAbooTAY I have total freedom from heroin. 5 1/2 years. I have no desire to return to it. I quit being triggered by anything that has to do with it around 22 months. Free, Free, Free. Do it one more time (quit) and try to get some time clean (all drugs) and it really becomes easier to stay off.

    @angelo212 and it is now to a point where I get so angry seeing them I couldn’t imagine befriending them. They have turned into my worst enemy. So looks like I am in for doing this shit for the rest of my life, unless some miracle occurs.

    @angelo212 Same dude, different screen name. I never got around to quiting. The addiction is way worse now than it was when I made that comment. I was planning on quitting but I said:if I can get a girlfriend, I will quit, and if I don’t then I will never quit. Until I get one, I am going to take this shit to the grave. Odds are I won’t because I haven’t in the past 27 years…

    @BeigeHolland Thanks for asking about him. His key worker is getting him a place in rehab – which will start in a couple months time. Meanwhile He has successfully dropped his daily methodone dose from 40ml to 20ml and hasn’t touched any sort of drugs. We live in London, UK.

    @Terminator860 I was doing Meth also, gave up heroin in March 2005, then went back to meth. It felt like an overdose every time I shot it because I didn’t have heroin to counter it. been totally clean since June 12, 2006. I know lots of people who are making it, but the percentage is high for relapse unfortunately, but I am here to encourage others to keep trying.

    @ringaroundtheroses85 You are not a coward. Fear is not the same thing as being a coward. The fear of withdrawal is frightening when you’ve done it before and you know its coming. I hope you will get it over with and you would never have to do it again.

    @Ju66aLoC I was 17 the first time I used Heroin. Had big gaps when I didn’t. This video was shot in March 2005. A week later I went into Medical Detox. I just couldn’t do it on my own anymore. Not from home. I went into a locked down detox unit. I was so lucky to have a staff that was so compassionate and had groups and 12 step based programs. Been off of it since March 2005, a week after this video. been totally clean and sober since June 12, 2006

    You think heroin withdrawal is bad? Try methadone withdrawal, two months of solid withdrawal.

    @BeigeHolland thx a lot for the support man, im in my third day, pretty much over the hump,i have suboxone so that helps more than i can explain, this is my third time getting clean, the first 2 times i did it cold turkey and it was hell, this time the first 2 days sucked cuz of restless legs,i still feel my legs but barely, im about to go to rehab or to sum sort of 12 step program to help with the mental part but i’ll let you know,stay sober, peace,LvNoog
